James buttoned up his shirt and smoothed it out against his stomach. It looked great on him; or rather, he made it look great. His jeans were a perfect fit, too. He had to look good today. Well, he had to look extra good. He always looked good.

Suzy would fall head over heels for him with one glance, he thought, running a hand through his hair. He smiled at himself in the mirror, then laughed. He’d read stories about vampires not being able to see their reflections. To imagine eternal life without being able to appreciate one’s own beauty…

Well, that's a great character study -- assuming the guy's character is *very* full of himself! :-)

James would like to add that just because the rest of humanity and undead alike (save Suzy) are flawed, it doesn't mean he should be construed as "full of himself." He just happens to be smart, witty, powerful, and terribly attractive.

When you put it that way, I guess he's just incredibly self-confident. :-)
